Default GT52 In The House!

Just finished up the install of my new GT52. I am so excited to see what this unit is going to do on my car after all the talk about it. I am coming from a 20G that made 370/404 on a dyno jet and trapped around 113-114 on pump gas. Tim Bailey will be tuning my car next Sat. I hope. My goal is to run 11's on pump. I may be doing a C16 tune too, but I don't know. I am still on a stock block that seems to be very healthy and I want to keep it that way.

I do have a question for those of you with an Element GT52. Have you had any problems with the inlet tube collapsing? I am running a Perrin inlet tube. Also what kind of times and trap speeds are you seeing?

Make sure you post some dyno pulls and time slips. You running fmic and/or meth?

Iirc- i've only read of the perrin inlet collapsing on high psi, like race gas tunes pushing over 25lbs of boost. Those that had it happen will chime in eventually.

Yes I am running a FMIC. I will probably be at around 21 on pump and 25 or so on C16. I don't want to push the motor too hard since it's stock, lol!

I will post the dyno graphs and 1/4 mile times for sure.

Tim Bailey got sick, postponed till this coming weekend at E-motor in Indianapolis. Chad will put down some GREAT numbers on that dyno.

I had issues with the perrin inlet collapsing @ 21.5 psi with the green. It happened after the 5th or 6th pull and the motor was obviously hot. My tuner suggested the APS hard inlet, but I did not want to go through the intake removal. I ended up going with the AVO inlet from rennick motorsport. Nice JDM peice and collapsing issues solved. The perrin unit is like a jelly donut when hot.

i have heard good things about Gimmick's inlet tube as well, some negatives like 1 or 2 people getting collapsing issues, but alot more positive than negative.... APS puts out a fine product but i heard that the inlet is a PITA

I'm getting this turbo as well, and will be putting in dw750s with meth. Not sure if 750s without meth will be up to the task. Someone with experience will correct me soon, lol.
