Default Exactly what gaskets do I need???? Please help.

I am getting an APS 3" TBE from a friend and I need to order some gaskets. One person said OEM gaskets work and my buddy says it needs APS sepcific gaskets. I do not know all about gaskets and I am confused. I searched some web sites for information, but I have no luck so far. Do any of you have APS on 07 STi??? What gaskets are you using?? Will OEM gaskets work? Please, please help!

you would need 3 gaskets, turbo to downpipe (you can use OEM for this one)
and the gaskets from downpipe to mid-section would need to be a 3 inch gasket and a 3 inch gasket from mid to axel back

Okay. I am buying the exhaust used, so I think I only need 3 gaskets. I saw on APS site that their DP is constructed of 3 pieces.

Anyway, based on what you are saying, I just need the 3 inch ones and turbo to DP I can just use OEM? But I think I will have to check whether they are 2 bolt or 3 bolts.....

their dp is 3 pieces or the whole turbo back is 3 pieces? if that's the case,

gasket#1 = turbo to dp(swoop up at subie dealership)

gasket#2 = dp to "midpipe"(3" gasket, buy online)

gasket#3 = "midpipe" to axleback(same as above)

I couldn't imagine you needing anything else man.

The guy I am buying it from said that he left the 3piece DP together. So everything came off in 3 pieces: DP + Mid pipe + Axleback.

So I only the gaskets you mentioned, right? Sorry for the same Q, but I just want to make sure...... Thanks alot!

I just picked up the DP to midpipe gasket at a dealer yesterday for 9.35. Not cheap.

if it all came out in 1 piece and it gets to you in 1 piece all you need is the turbo > downpipe gasket

So that means, APS exhaust is compatibel with OEM gaskets? The guy I am buying it from ssid it ONLY takes APS sepcific gaskets. That is where I was getting confused.

The guy said it came off in 3 pieces, DP - Midpipe - axle back. I was talking about whether DP came off in 1 piece (since APS DP is contructed with 3 pieces) or not. So I would need 3 pieces, right?

from my understanding the only OEM gasket you may use is the turbo to downpipe gasket. You can pick that up at subaru.

The Turbo to Collector pipe(?) can use the stock gasket.
The Test pipe or Cat has 3inch 3hole flanges that need different gaskets.
The front of the Mid pipe has the same flange, and the rest of the way back has normal 3inch 2hole exhaust gaskets.

Can you send me a bigger picture of the packing list on this image? I am trying to get bolts, nuts, washers and stud information so I can pick them up tomorrow before the install on Sunday.
