I do get a small amout of smoke in the morning when i first start the car, but have heard it is condensation. It will idle around 1500-1700 during the morning start up for a few minutes then settle down once it is warm. Every now and then sitting at a light the idle will fluctuate a few hundred rpms.

What's the last 6 digits of your VIN? I'll let you know if your car was re-flashed by the factory for the hesitation issue.

Yeah on a cold motor it will idle around 1500-1700 to warm up that is normal with our cars also any car idles slightly higher on a cold start in an effort to warm up the motor quicker.

Also, the smoke you see is condensation. Anyone that's owned a car should know that this happens normally usually when cold. My previous car, Audi A4 did it every morning during the winter. It is more common if you park outside, which I do now and with the Audi.

The bad smoke I touched on is right when the motor cranks over and starts before the condensation in the exhaust starts to burn off, its just water so when it meets the warmer exhaust gases it condenses, simple science.

To really see the bad smoke you need to get someone to turn on the car for you while you watch. Right as the motor cranks over you would get a puff out of the exhaust and it will probably be blue and smell like burnt oil.

Im at 14,000 currently all stock (except for the borla cat back which i bought it from the dealer with, i DON"T have an intake) with no problems, and I drive my car gently but when im on it im REALLY on it which is at least once a day =) I have purchased the 100k warranty however so im not touching anything, just building the chassis and body how I want it, before turning it over to crawford or cosworth for motor duties. Im like the rest of you just keeping my fingers crossed, but im playing it smart keeping my warranty and doing the rest of the car first. I'll keep you all posted on any updates on my 07 as well.

^^^ Im going to stay stock except the cat back and wait for the engine to pop or until I have enough money to build an engine. After that ill look into mods, the car will probably get me into enough trouble as it sits

I am on the same boat... I am not messing with the engine and the only mods I am doing are cosmetic... I figured if the engine blows, the only one to blame is the crap stock tune which is under warranty anyways

^ It's not "THE" 07's its a select few. Only a few people have had these problems. It's not some plague throughout the whole '07 community.
