Default Turbo XS BOV seals?

Hey,

I have an 04 STi with a TurboXS FMIC kit (already on when I bought the car). The BOV appears to be a RBV-H34, which on their website seems to be made for for recirculation rather than atmosphere, but the car was protuned with the recirc hose plugged and venting to atmosphere. I didn't think it would matter but the car actually ran crappier with the hose on so I left it off.

I'm pretty fed up with the thing as it appears to leak all the time. It has a 90* elbow that is held in place by three set screws and the bov held on by another three screws. It's just metal to metal contact and there aren't any kind of seals or orings or anything to prevent it from leaking. Even tightened all the way down it can still wobble a tiny bit. Are there supposed to be seals? I couldn't find anything that told me one way or another on their website or instructions.

If there weren't would it be beneficial to add them? Sorry I am newer to turbo cars.

That bov will not seal. Just use your stock bpv. You'll need to get this: eBay Motors: WRX Type H/RFL BOV Blow off adapter 02- 07 03 04 05 06 (item 380011555002 end time Apr-03-08 18:18:52 PDT)

So it simply sucks?

Where would that adaptor go? It appears that part is already welded onto the pipe.

If I could remember, it may have a rubber o-ring to seal, but those set screws are a joke. How do they expect set scews to not loosen up with the vibration of the motor?

Two actually fell out in the time of a month. I found the right thread and put some in there with locking nuts and they won't back out, but it doesn't seal worth anything no matter what. Maybe ill just go buy a assload of urethane orings and find some that fit.
