D you think the Boost Logic is rated for more.. You have to remember that his rating might be the true *rating* and just cause our housing may see temps a bit higher doesnt mean anything. Just like my HPC extreme coating they advertise 2000 degree heat rating that doesnt mean its the true actual rating. So you know there is no diff in the boostlogic or this one.. If I was to turn the boostlogic one upside down and run it with the outside part on the housing the same thing would happen, you know that right..

the boostlogic one has been around a long time and i have never heard about one burning up so i could care less what its rated at, im more concerened with its actual performance. its not like this ebay one (so far with a bad failure rate) is cheap enough to chance it, they are pretty much the same price! i have nothing against the company that makes then, and im not a boostlogic fanboi, im just calling it like i see it.

You really don't want to buy an underengineered piece of fabric that sits right on top of one of the hottest points in your car... I'm really interested in hearing more about this piece before I buy it as well.

People, people.....
This turbo blanket comes from New Zealand. They use a metric measurement system there (offically as of 12/14/76). All degrees aren't created equal and the number means nothing without the unit behind it. The temperature ratings quoted by the seller are almost certainly in C, not F.

1100 C = 2010 F
300 C = 572 F

Those temperature ratings are very good for this type of a product. Most people's EGT's at the heads never go over 1650 F. My blanket is still in great shape and is not brittle in any shape or form.

i have a question about the install to this..

I have a vf34-p20 housing turbo, did u install the blanket when the turbo was mounted or did u take it off?

Also - which side did u tuck under the wastegate , the wide or thinner side??

I am on the stock turbo setup. i would recommend it though.
Where did you order it from? I am using the stock turbo as well, is it worth it? How did you install it while the turbo was still no the car?
