Default Boost gauge install? Loss of power?

i just finished installing my boost gauge (greddy 52mm v.2) everything was working fine minor boost leak but fixed

when i was taking it on a test spin i would get on the gas 2nd gear 14.8 pounds but as the rpms rose the peak would drop out down to like 12 in 3rd gear i noticed the same exact thing boost peak then drop....

the major problem is there is a tremendous loss of power i mean bad extremely noticeable 2nd gear feels like 4th

i took the t-fitting out and put it back to stock and i can feel the same thing peak boost acceleration around 4.5k then power loss again car feels faster but still way to slow

any ideas i dont know what to do

car is a '04 sti with 49k on the clock

is the restrictor pill that little gold piece that comes with the t fitting?
the t fitting i used came in a assorted box i believe it was 1/4?
yes i used hose clamps

i also disconnected my battery which prolly reset my ecu?
but i have intake and exhaust could this cause my power loss because the car has to relearn the intake exhaust?
