so now the CEL comes on only when the car idles for around 1 minute or so. Could it be the spark plugs since I do not think they have ever been changed?

It could either be heat soak if you were sitting, or the car pulling timing from bad gas / heat / etc. Pretty normal really. As the weather gets warmer, your car gets slower.

Also, the longer you've been on a set of mods, the slower the car feels over time. You just get used to it, and that becomes "normal". So, the car stops feeling fast and starts feeling normal.

my car doesn't "feel" fast to me anymore, but I'm sure if I got in a stock STi i would say "darn, this thing is slow"

CEL came on at idle "left bank too lean" but the car feels like it is pulling timing under WOT 3rd and 4th gear. The boost gauge reads 1.2 psi right where it should be with OTS map. However, the car does not accelerate as it should. The gas is not the problem since I had a mix of 93 and 100 oct. As a testimont to the scenario I barely pulled on a stock SRT-4 and I am stg 2, but as far as the car feeling slower I have been driving conservatively for the past few days with gas prices being high with the occassional WOT.
