| Junior STI Driver |  turbo spooling louder than normal caused by exhaust leak? i went to the subaru dealership today complaining about a my turbo spooling really loud. they checked everything and said it was fine except that my downpipe and exhaust needed a new gasket and needed to be tightened more. my question is will that cause for my turbo to spool louder than usual? i changed my gasket and tightened it but the sound is still there but not as bad as before. another question i have is what is a better way to ensure there will be no exhaust leak? thanks This ad is not endorsed by this member. You can always use two gaskets or some of those Remflex gaskets to make sure that you won't get leaks. Most importantly though, just tighten the nuts and bolts...
