IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I don't get it , If this is an on going problem why isn't anyone or subaru making a recall on this , Cause I am really getting sick and tired of subaru using the whole you race this car or this is a race car , stuff like this is bound to happen , I don't see any other car company claiming that , Subaru the car the germans wish they build , lol yeah right more like subaru a german porsche wanna be , cause It wants to be like a porsche only my dinky little motor and its crappy parts can't handle it lol , I am so dissapointed in this, but there must be something done about this , hey I'm willing to sign or riot something lol I'm sure we have enough people who've had the same problem and get these people together to take subaru to court , I know just replaceing the part is enough and cheaper , but think of all the newbies who buy this vehicle and are unaware of this ? and what if they don't have warranty , is paying for a whole new motor worth it then ?? and how do i get my hands on one of those moroso oil pick ups , and are they the only ones who make them ? IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 Trader Rating: (4) | I got my car back and it's running fine, thank god. I asked the service manager about the pickup tube part # changing, or being revised, and this is what he told me after speaking with the technical dep't @ Subaru: "No such change has or will occur, and once they recognized the issue, all parts in their system were quarantined, returned to the vendor, and all stock was replaced." So it looks like there has been some type of change, but, unfortunetely there are lots of potentially defective tubes out there... |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (8) | Yeah I am still in the process of getting everything together. I have spent almost $500 so far on tools and materials. I am very serious about making these. If anyone knows where I can get some .625" i.d. and .750" o.d. steel tube then I will be all set. It seems that all of the .625" inner diameter tube/pipe is 1" outer diameter. The 1" is WAYYYYY too big to put a flange on. I still can't gurantee when, but I will get a batch of these made. James |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (5) | I guess you could get them straight from moroso but they are also being sold through vendors. I think topspeed and boxer4racing both had them-not sure who else but sure there are more). |

ihadmail is a stand up guy and will do whatever he can to get these made, hopefully he can source the materials, some of this stuff is ran in small batches and is hard to get so i can see it being very hard for him to get done. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (8) | Good2Go: Thanks for the info, but like n2oiroc said, I am looking for mild steel. I have everything except the tubing already. If I can't find some mild steel tubing I may have to scrap everything else and just make them all stainless, which won't be an issue except cost will go up. As soon as I get some made you guys will be the first to know, and don't worry I already have too much $$$ invested in this to not do it now. James This ad is not endorsed by this member.
