just for clarification, the 4g63 came out in late '88 i believe in the 89 plymouth laser

so they have 20 years of experience with those engines possibly.

and sad thing the block in the new evo x is supposedly not as strong. open deck vs closed deck on the old 4g63

According to Buschur racing, the new Evo X motor (4B11T) is garbage, the engine is definetly not as strong as the 4G63 and the motor doesn't make power like the 4G63. Supposedly the Mitsubishi is really pushing the 4B11T to make the power it makes, and it looks like it can't take much more.

Back to topic. As our car's not having good top-end on stock turbo I tend to disagree I think it all comes down to driver and a properly set up car. My personal car has won many hwy battles against Evo's. All this was done on stock turbo with pump and sometimes C16 tunning properly and a really good driver will go a long way. (Example last weekend I ran my friends Evo 9 with TBE, I/E Cams and Meth Inj Pro-tuned I was running MS 109 and we ran like 3 times from 50 and 60 roll and every time I would jump ahead by like half a car and then we stayed even til like 110mph.)

anyone have a link to this? I'm interested to see what they did.

LOL I bought that magazine and can't find the article in it. But as far as the new evo motor goes, it's all aluminum correct? They did that in an effort to shave weight since the rest of the car gained so much elsewhere. I haven't heard that from Buschur till I saw that post, but I'm not gonna lie...I had my suspicions, and if anyone can prove anything evo related it's Buschur!

I guess the new Evo will need sleeves just to make huge power like they used to do with the 4G63 engine. I bet Buschur is the best bet to do it first safely and effectively

Oh, I'm an ignorant fop too, but I knew you were one to begin with.
