Exclamation tgv deletes with magnus intake

I am curious to find out if you buy the magnus sheet metal intake with the long runners if that means you dont have to have the tgv deletes? If that is the case would that do anything bad to your car not having the tgv deletes anymore?

Magnus Motorsports - DSM/Mitsu Engines

Magnus Subaru Sheetmetal Intake Manifolds - Long Runner

These manifolds are a direct replacement to the stock manifold, but eliminate the tumble generator valves (TGV). We compensate for the thickness of the TGV by adding length to the runners, which keeps the throttle body in its stock placement.
Thus the long runner version replaced the TGV system.

Your question is worded a bit wrong but I'm going to take a swing at it.

Deleting the TGVs will result in a CEL you will need to disable via engine management. In COLD weather you may have a rougher idle at startup but that should be it.

Not-deleting the TGVs will leave a few horses on the table but that's pretty much it. At BIG hp levels (like 500+) the lack of flow will hurt things but on smaller setups it's not much of a problem.

Do some research on the Magnus first, from what I remember a lot of them were blowing their welds at higher boost levels (but not that much higher from a normal stage 2 setup.)

the magnus intake has had problems with welds and is entirely unnecessary, other than to say you have one. you will have a hard time trying to outflow the stock manifold. save your money for something meaningful.

btw, several other companies have been working on a manifold for a long time, including jeremy at crucial.

Wanna try this? Looks to me that it's well built, don't know about the airflow, and seems within the price range of the magnus

That is NOT their intake manifold. It is a SUBARU intake manifold off a standard 2.5i motor that cost a few hundred dollars!!!!

following that link just reminded me why i hate their site. i refuse to be manipulated into starting an account or signing in just to view an enlargement. when they start running their site like the rest of the world i'll have some interest in the product.

as i said before, spend your money elsewhere.
