Talking AQUAMIST, TurboXS, Element Tuning GT65, GT49, GT52, NEW ATP: GT3071/3076R, COMBOS!!!

RIDICULOUSLY LOW PRICING!!!!! PM FOR ALL PRICING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AQUAMIST HFS-5 Kits!!!!

PM ME!!!!!!!!

ATP GT3076 DIRECT BOLT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Garrett GT Ball Bearing GT3076R, the benchmark turbo, known to the be the right tool to do 500+ HP job, is now available in a drop-in package for the Subaru WRX/STI! The easy to implement turbo assembly that takes no more than 1-2 hours to install in place of the stock journal bearing VFXX unit is made possible by a high flowing GT inspired ATP exhaust housing and a series of custom engineered components built to suit the installation.

Each GT drop-in turbo package consists of a Garrett factory assembled and high speed balanced dual ball bearing CHRA which is then assembled into a set of CNC machine ported housings that have been optimized in every aspect for maximum flow and efficiency.

All accompanying oil and coolant supply components included in each kit have been designed to properly and seamlessly bridge the Garrett GT turbo to the EJ engine so that the fit is as OE as possible.

Just bolt the turbo on, add fueling and a good tune and prepare for a blast of acceleration. Garrett GT turbos offer more then just "peak HP" numbers. These GT turbos off more torque area under the curve and more "accessible" power then any other turbos series out there.

We do recommend that you compliment your GT bolt-on turbo with a nice high flowing bellmouth downpipe and a high flowing inlet pipe to effortless channel air in and out of the turbo. Although every bolt-on GT turbo ships with a 3" inlet, we do provide a "stepdown" sleeve just in case you're forced to use the stock 2.25" inlet hose. However, as a rule of thumb, turbos, especially higher flowing units love as much inlet flow as possible. This promotes both quicker spoolup and better ultimate HP, with less boost pressure at the manifold. The 3" downpipe and bigger inlet is critical for reaching peak efficiency on the GT turbo. Please also be aware that some downpipes such as the stock catted downpipe, has a "no-flow" door at the wastegate flapper area. This type of downpipe may not allow the wider swinging wastegate valve to open all the way, thus causing the possibility of a "boost-creep" condition or uncontrollable rise in boost.

The GT3076R is a great match on the 2.5L, especially if you're looking for boost threshold that is little later than stock but want enough airflow for 500+HP. The GT3076R makes boost about 300 to 400 rpms later than the GT3071R but keeps pumping where the GT3071R starts to run out after 450HP. A lot of the boost is available even at part to medium throttle. Boost recovery between gearshifts is awesome with full boost ready even before upshift is complete as the STI lurches forward with shear enthusiasm at the onse of each gear. The 2.0L driver should not rule out the use GT3076R if his HP target is in the same range. This particular GT3076R is THE modern "GT30R" and not the sporatically named -10, -11, -12, -13, -14 series from the old days misused and abused as "GT30's". This competition grade turbo is still a big favorite for the HP range because it hits like a hammer while other 500HP turbos are still "spooling up".

ELEMENT TUNING GT49 and GT52

Element GT Series Bolt-On Turbochargers

PROVEN: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/engine-power-performance/98745-2006-sti-gt52-meth-pump-gas-25psi-3800rpm-video-post-37-a.html

Element Tuning GT52 (52 lb/min, 375-500whp, Bolt-On)
This turbocharger is very similar to many other 7cm TD06 20G framed bolt-ons but that's where the comparison ends. In this particular turbocharger we use a Garret GT30R 52 lbs compressor wheel, Garrett turbine wheel and shaft. The compressor is a GT30R rated at 52 lbs utilizing an internal wastegate.
Typically we see 20 psi by 3600-3800 rpm tuning with the Hydra with pump gas power in the 375-400 whp range. Both housings are completely ported for increased flow and wastegate performance. Race gas power is in the 475-500whp range.
Expect to achieve full boost with the proper modifications and a quality tune between 3500-4000rpms. Fuel upgrades for this turbocharger and proper engine management are required.
The Element GT52 has been recently updated to increase internal wastegate performance. Increased port work, larger wastegate port, and a larger wastegate valve has been utilized to ensure boost creep free performance.

Highly Recommended: Element -4 Stainless Oil Feed Line $79
These high output turbochargers require more oil than the standard OEM turbocharger. A high flow oil line is highly recommended for proper lubrication and longevity. Turbochargers that show signs of oil starvation are never covered under warranty.
When ordering please specify WRX or STi.

Engine Modifications:

Engine is OEM 2006 STI
Element Hydra EMS
Element Hydramist
Element GT52 Bolt-on Turbocharger Internal WG
Element Header
Element Fuel Surge Tank
Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump
TurboSmart E-Boost 2
TurboSmart Megasonic BOV
Clutch Master’s STG4 Clutch
1000cc Low Impedance Fuel injectors
BDL Fuel Rails
Ported TGV Housings
FMIC
TBE (2.5” axle section)

The biggest hurdle I ran into was the silicone inlet pipe. It just kept collapsing but it was old and maybe past it’s prime. Pulling the air filter and various plugs on the intake didn’t help so I removed the intake system completely. Since we are using the Element Hydra EMS this didn’t present a problem. Once we had all the issues ironed out the first clean pull on pump gas with the Hydramist water/meth injection kit netted 400 whp. I turned up the boost more and more until we started to max out with the boost level. I was tired at this point and really didn’t want to try and preload the internal WG more on a hot turbocharger so boost would drop to 21 psi absolute. I could raise the torque by increasing boost but it would always drop down around peak power. I did what I could with fuel and spark tuning to net a peak power of 436 whp. Ideally I would have much preferred to up boost a couple more pounds which should have put this setup in the 450-460 whp range but this just wasn’t going to happen on the dyno. In the real world I had no problems holding 23 psi due to the higher loads generated.

All in all this is a pretty awesome setup for a bolt-on turbocharger with 20 psi peaking as early as 3600 rpm (on the dyno a little longer) without boost creep. No doubt an external wastegate setup would have allowed me to hold boost on the dyno but in the real world this just wasn’t an issue. The power delivery is fantastic for road racing as it allows great straight away power but more importantly you can short shift the car in technical sections and just let the torque pull you through where easily metered power is faster.
The GT52 Turbocharger is so good we opted to use it on our Time Attack STI to win a NASA TTU Time Trial. Here is in-car video footage at Summit Point Raceway running the Element GT52 Turbocharger, Hydra EMS, and Hydramist. The suspension used is JIC custom valved coilovers, 6 Gun Ball Joint Extenders, Prodrive GC06 17x9.5 wheels, Toyo RA1s 255/40-17, and RCE Kool Brake Kit.

Element Tuning GT49 (49 lb/min, 350-470whp, Bolt-On)
The GT49 is based on the Mitsubishi TD06 7cm frame but is modified to accept a Garrett compressor wheel. This turbocharger utilizes a Garrett 49 lbs compressor wheel, and a TD06 Turbine wheel modified for higher flow and creep-free performance. A 2.4" inlet is machined and ported to allow for easier installation and higher performance.
Typically 20 psi is reached by 3400-3600 rpm tuning with the Hydra and pump gas. Pump gas power is in the 350-375 whp range. Both housings are completely ported for increased flow and wastegate performance.
Race gas power is in the 450-460 whp range. Expect to achieve full boost with the proper modications and tuning between 3500-3700rpms. Fuel upgrades for this turbocharger and proper engine management are required.

Element GT bolt-on turbochargers include extensive porting of the turbine housing inlet, outlet, and wastegate passages. The wastegate passage is also enlarged and the turbine wheel modified to improve internal wastegate performance and creep free running. All Element GT bolt on turbochargers are water cooled and come complete with water lines and an OEM oil drain line so installation is a direct bolt-on. Highly Recommended:
Element -4 Stainless Oil Feed Line $79 These high output turbochargers require more oil than the standard OEM turbocharger. A high flow oil line is highly recommended for proper lubrication and longevity. Turbochargers that show signs of oil starvation are never covered under warranty.
When ordering please specify WRX or STi.

If i was looking to stay stock internals and block would the GT49 be the better choice over the 52?

You can choose either turbocharger for a fully stock motor. I dont see the need to have upgraded internals, unless you plan for big numbers. Both turbochargers are excellent choices. How much power are you looking to make?

I'd like to see 350whp and 370-390wftlbs ish . . . . with a conservative under 21psi tune if thats possible. I'd like to keep boost low on the stock internals and what not.

The GT52 will give that power without a problem.
