Default P&L Motorsports GT3076 and GT3071 Turbo Kits

P&L Motorsports GT30R Turbo Kits

P&L has spent over one year designing, refining, and testing our turbo kit offerings for the Subaru Impreza. After having had to install and work with several companies other products, there were some shortcomings we simply knew could be overcome. So we started from scratch and started designing a kit from the ground up that covered fitment issues, quality control issues, etc.

Where We've Been

Hand crafted in house by our fabricators, each kit is built and designed with pride in very small batches to keep quality control high. We've extensively tested all of our kits with various model year cars to make sure there are absolutely no fitment issues.

The heart of the system is the Garrett GT3076R turbocharger. For those looking for power levels under 450WHP (recommended for stock internal EJ257s) we have a .63 A/R exhaust option that is optimized well between 20-26 PSI. For those looking to get everything out of it, the .82 A/R exhaust option will spool up a few hundred RPM later, but flow well between 25-30 PSI (octane being appropriate of course).

Where We're Going

We are now also offering a slightly smaller GT3071 .63 A/R turbo for those who want uncompromising turbo spool. With this smaller compressor and turbine combo, we have dyno results of near-stock spool time, easily capable of full boost within 100rpm of the stock turbo. Expect about 50whp less than the larger GT3076 .82 A/R. GT3071 .63 A/R turbo dyno numbers would be around 350whp on 93 octane and 400whp on race gas.

Believe it or not, our kits are designed to work with high quality, upgraded top mount intercoolers (Spearco and TurboXS being our preferred choice). For those applications our kit comes with a newly redesigned 4" to a 3" cold air intake with integrated MAF adapter. Included in this intake is the largest intake filter available on the market for unrestricted airflow. Going against the grain, we have decided to release our intake MAF calibration which is an industry first. This makes everything from creating a basemap to a full race gas dyno tune map much quicker and in the end benefits the customer who will have a properly tuned vehicle.

If you'd like to go with a front mount solution, the kit will come with a weld in 3" MAF adapter for blow through applications. Specify which you'd like at time of ordering.

Only the best components are used to keep maintenance down, and installation simple. Wastegate control is via a high quality Tial 44MM external wastegate. The Tial's V-band clamp assembly keeps maintenance at a minimal as there are no gaskets to blow out. All of our kits come with stainless steel clamps and high quality silicone couplers. We also hand polish all of our piping to give the engine bay a completely show quality look and feel. We've hand selected our materials to make sure our kit is aesthetically pleasing, and it really shows in the final assembled product.

A custom stainless steel power steering line is included to replace the unwieldy factory unit, dramatically cleaning up the look of the engine compartment as well. Another new addition to the kit is a stainless steel bracket which connects the turbo to the engine block. This bracket will ensure that the piping and turbo will not move or break even under the highest of racing stress. This is just another of the items we include at no additional cost to improve our kit.

High Quality Install Instructions

Over 100 man hours have been put into our industry leading installation documentation. 84 pages (no, that's not a typo) of full color pictures and detailed bolt by bolt instruction make installation possible for anyone who feels mechanically inclined. If you can change your oil, you can install this kit with the help of our installation guide. We offer this both in a quality paper binder medium and also electronically as a PDF file. Many of our distributors and other key industry partners participated in the editing process, helping to further refine our market leading approach towards bringing stereotypically difficult experiences to the general public.

Our 30R kit includes:

-Garrett GT3076R turbocharger (.63 or .82 A/R) OR Garrett GT3071 .63 A/R turbocharger
-Polished Stainless Up-pipe
-Polished Stainless Downpipe with two O2 sensor bungs
-Tial 44MM EWG, V-bands and polished dump tube
-Turbo to block stainless steel bracket
-Choice of 4"-3" intake with integrated MAF, 3" blow through MAF pipe, or 4" short ram intake for speed density systems
-Stainless steel power steering line
-Oil catch can
-Associated couplers and clamps
-Detailed instructions

All 3 kit variations are the same retail price. Shipping should be around $60.

Could the dump tube be routed into the downpipe so it would be so loud? I assume this would have to be done at a local place, but do you think it would be possible and what, if anything, would be lost? Spool? Top-end flow?

I already asked them this. It can be done for an added price. You will lose power.

But- why do it? You only vent when running 10-15psi+, so if you want to be quiet, don't push so hard with the right foot.

I wouldn't want to make babies cry. And the local track has a noise ordinance at the property line which may be of concern.

Yes, we can custom route it back to the downpipe for an additional cost. This will generally slow production/delivery, if that is an issue for you. You will lose top end power due to the EWG gas causing turbulence once it re-enters the piping, as well as total flow being slowed.

At a bare minimum injectors, fuel pump, intercooler, quality(!) bypass or blow off valve, and a tune are needed.
