Thanks!
As a rough estimate, expect the following on our dynojet(notoriously low reading and uncorrected):

3071 .63 - 350whp
3076 .63 - 370whp
3076 .82 - 390whp

Depending on power levels, possibly none. Over 400whp you will be losing anywhere from 3%-8% max power, but it's a trade off for having the best boost response possible.

We did some testing for the new beta AEM Engine Management System on one of our P&L GT35r STIs recently. Here are the results! 570whp / 547 wtq!

Also, the tailpipe wideband o2 we use for tuning was acting up (hence the weird AFR at the bottom,) so the A/F was tuned using the in-car mounted AEM wideband sensor and gauge.

First off, sorry about the SAE correction. I can't stand showing an artificially inflated number, was a snafu during printing. Otherwise, the non corrected numbers are exactly 10WHP under these.

We were one of the shops AEM trusted to do initial testing of their new 1821 EMS.

Unfortunately one of the cars we wanted to use got into a minor fender bender so it just got back from the body shop and we couldn't wait to toss the EMS on it.

This is "Fast Eddie's" 35R setup running 100 unleaded on our 1.06A/R 35R kit.

Since we're only running AEM's 3.5BAR MAP, we have it tuned to 29 PSI.

When comparing this to the last setup we did on his AP it is pretty dramatic when I can apply some of my tricks that the EMS allows me.

Overall, the biggest differences are in the drivability, but I'll let Eddie get on here later and comment on it.

Oh yeah... he's still on 1000 CC injectors, and has a set of 1600's waiting to go because we're still severely maxed out by 6400.

Thank you for answering my question, Jorge. This kit is the direction I'm going in, just need to save up for it now. I'm thinking the 3076 .63 is the route to go for me. If I ever wanted to upgrade to the .82, would it be an easy swap of the housings?

FWIW- I ordered the .63.

I think it is the perfect combination of power and spool.

I saw that! Your setup is killer The .63 is what I want too, for the same reasons, and I do want to keep the stock internals around for a little bit longer.

both of you can ask flycaster. he has had the 30r with both housings. IIRC, he has a writeup on here about it also.

I believe he likes the .63 better. it spools so quickly.

crawford likes the .63 housing for the 30r also.
good choice, amigos.

As compared to what? This is a generic P&L GT3076R .63 dyno plot with my own Stage 2.5 tune added to it:

Red = loss and Blue/yellow = Gain

Obviously it doesn't have the top end of a .82, but it kicks the crap out of a VF39. Totally worth it for a Road Course'r like myself. I can't wait to get this thing in my car.

Personally, I think it's hearsay.........unless you're running uber boost and really high octane (outflowing the turbine).

People have been trying to go with the .82 to artificially increase the VE (and add alot of timing (relative)) to further try to increase the VE......... to keep up with our competition.

Evo's run way less timing and use smaller hotsides. go figure their VE is significantly better than ours.

As compared to the same turbo with a larger .82 housing, you clearly don't have any clue at what I was responding to

Of course you just think it's hearsay becuase you have no actual knowledge on the subject

Both of you clearly show no actual knowledge on this subject

It is hard to read people's minds, especially when they have one post in a conversation that compares a known and an unknown.

This is a quote button, . Use it.

Well then maybe you shouldn't respond, seems to be happening alot on this thread for you, and why would I need to quote the post above me, to just waste space

It's not about .63 Vs .82, it's a science!(your hearsay is BS and thats why I told you it was) meaning the .82 simply is cable of flowing more air which equates to more HP, the more air you can flow the more HP you can make, why do you think bigger turbo's make more HP, the larger you go, the more air you can flow.(Thats about as dumd'd down as I can make it for you)
