Have you guys tried this kit without a BOV? I'm really curious. I noticed Crawford is doing without one on their kits.

I think the reason they want you to use one is that the stock BPV will begin to leak at the pressures these kits produce. Sure, you could use the stocker, but you'd most likely be sacrificing power.

You're right. But what I was asking about was NO BOV at all.

Ah... I read that as no BOV, but BPV...

Thank you for your very informative post.

I was hoping someone who is not the vendor actually using it and have some numbers to compare.

I know Jorge well enough that to say that the posted plots above are the same tunes as the customer left the shop with. He does not inflate his numbers to sell more product. What would that get him, besides pissed off customers?

If you wait a few weeks, I'll post my numbers with a TMIC. Until then, you'll have to take Jorge's word.

^^^ By the way, I didn't question his integrity and that is more informative post.

Apparently, you are the one who was not reading the post. Maybe you are too eager to answer for someone else.

In a few weeks we'll see your results.

All of the dyno plots are of customer cars. They are the final plot for the tuning we provided for them. We just recently opened the kit up to the public to install themselves and have tuned elsewhere, so we don't have a second-hand dyno plot available yet, unfortunately.

Running with no bpv or bov is not what we recommend. I don't care how technologically advanced the anti-surge ports are on a turbo, having no bpv/bov will cause damage eventually, imho.

Maybe you need to phrase your question better, because you have me confused.

First you ask to see results with TMICs, which have already been disclosed. Then you ask for someone's results, other than the vendor. I respond saying that those are the real, non-inflated results and reflective of what others would post. Then you say I am not reading the posts.

I am sorry for trying to help you. Next time I'll know to steer clear.

Sorry, I missed your question originally. All of the dyno plots posted are either TurboXS or Spearco TMICs (all but one are Spearco.)

Thank you for the reply. I'm thinking of upgrading my setup to 30r with TMIC probably in the next month. That is why I'm very much interested with the kit. I was looking for someone from outside your shop who is actually using the kit now.

From your data, I really like that you guys tested the kit with TMIC.

We have considered offering a package price for everything you need to make the car complete however with everyone possibly wanting slightly different things, it isn't logistically possible to offer package pricing. With as large a financial investment going to a big rotated turbo is, we do take care of our customers as best we can in other respects. (ie: install help, troubleshooting, etc)
