The Spartan canister is made of full titanium for maximum weight savings and a titanium burnt exhaust tip. Each Spartan DE Type 1 ST features a 76.3mm piping for larger displacement engines and turbo applications. All spartan exhaust systems include an inner silencer.

JIC WRX STI DE Type 1 Ti Series Cat Back Exhaust
JIC Spartan DE Type 1 Ti features our most popular style. An aggressive canister and smooth piping aid into giving your vehicle performance, a great exhaust tone, and weight savings. Each Spartan DE Type 1 Ti features a 60mm piping for smaller engines or naturally aspirated engines or a larger, full 80mm piping for larger displacement engines and turbo applications. As a unique trait to Titanium, the exhaust piping walls are a mere 1mm thick which help the exhaust tempratures disapate faster allowing cooling times to decrease. All Spartan exhaust systems include an inner silencer. As a unique design only to the Spartan Series, the canister has either a bolt on flange or a slip in type depending on vehicle application. Certain Spartan DE Type 1 applications also has a resonated option to keep the exhaust noise down. DE Type 1 exhaust systems comes with either an angled exit or straight exit canister. JIC is the originator of the full Titanium exhaust system.

This is what the borla Hush wishes it was...As quiet as this! This is the quietest system that I have EVER heard, a Catless Turbo Back sounds quieter then the Borla hush catback:eek:
Spartan DE Type 2 SUS (Stainless Steel) features a full stainless steel oval canister and a full stainless steel piping. Each Spartan DE Type 2 comes with a large 76.3mm piping and a high quality stainless steel resonator to keep the exhaust noise to a minimum. To enhance that important exhaust tone, the oval canister aids in keeping the exhaust tone clean. Each Spartan DE Type 2 SUS system features a lightweight canister with either a single or dual exhaust tip (some applications may be a special order item). Ideal for the enthusiast that wants an exhaust with a low profile, yet craves for throttle response, a clean exhaust tone, and performance found in no other exhaust system.

The reason for the price is the material that is used.
Titanium is very expensive, as well as very hard to work with. So the price reflects it.
Its harder to weld then aluminum, and with the price difference of the metals. Mistakes are very expensive.
