Price reduced, $2750.

Looking back at the build, this would be a unique opportunity for someone going big to be able to subsidize the cost of these heads by selling their stock heads in exchange.

I don't think you often find built heads of this pedigree for sale.

Posted on eBay, I need to get this pair sold.

Hate to go through eBay for anything, still willing to pull the auction for a solid offer.

Sounds tempting. Too bad I don't have enough knowledge on proper lift and duration on valves of engines. All I know is if there is too much lift and duration, which i think advances timing, the risk of valves smacking against pistons is imminent. Can you enlighten me on these cams? These work with AVCS with no problem right?

Do you have proof from Axis that they did these heads? Any vids of your car running with these heads? Its hard to buy used parts especially if they are heads/motors without some documentation or something yah know? Let me know, thanks.

This is a good point when considering upgraded cams, especially when using AVCS.

Chances are that anyone with an investment in this magnitude of an engine build will understand the necessity for an experience tuner. After much consideration, the only two tuners in the country that I found knowledgeable enough to approach builds of this size are Howard @ ARFab and Phil @ Element Tuning.

These cams will of course work with AVCS, they were designed to work with AVCS, and at a factory setting these cams will not create interference. The issue lies in how much the timing is being advanced or lated, and this issue lies specifically with your tuner.

It comes down to your tuner being very familiar with the cams you are using and the limits to which using various cams presents.

Unfortunately I do not have "proof." I will contact Ron as he and I have exchanged information about the history of this car, I am sure he still remembers the situation...If you search my history you will find my personal experiences with this car and the reasons for giving up on this car.

I will try and get some confirmation from Ron that he did the port work on these heads, but I am certain he did the valve-train. I made the assumption that he did the porting work because of valve-train service, but the only other logical servicer would be DPR, and they are a reputable speed merchant as well. The good news is that whoever did the porting was very skilled and knew what they were doing.

I understand the difficultly of purchasing used parts like these, I would be just as skeptical. I will try my best to get all the information to aid you in your decision.
