To the OP, I suggest you save your $$ on headers. Go with a fuel pump if you really want to but that's also NOT necessary!

I was told by our turner here in BC, that they can get about another 5-10whp out of upgrading injectors. Not sure if I would spend $500+ bucks for that!

Put your saved $$ into an alignment, sways, springs, AKA suspension goodies!

excellent link. And based on what Ron at Axis told me - for stage 2, you only need the tbe and engine management. One step colder plugs, fuel pump, injectors, CAI or SRI, and so forth are not required. You may get a few extra horses here or there but it will be very limited.

I am putting in the colder plugs and thinking about changing my typhoon to a CAI prior to tune. Other than that, I'm not messing with the injectors, tmic, fuel pump, headers, or anything else.

If I upgraded turbos that would be another story completely.

EXACTLY! Now if we can only get 100% of the people on this website to read this do they don't keep recommending new people things they don't Absolutly need...

Yes, it is subjective to what is Needed, but most of the time people say "its for the piece of mind" to upgrade........ bla bla bla....... and are more Wants than Needs!

Well Damn! Naa just kidding. I actually think I am still going to out everything on in preparations for an upgraded turbo in a month or two....we'll see. Hopefully performance won't suffer too bad until then....

Well, when I go Stage 2+protune, I'm definately doing more than just a TBE. But that is because the PTS2 will be a 'plateu' of sorts. I plan to leave the car like that for a while before going further with power mods. So what I want is 2-fold:

1. To set the car up with all the power mods I want to do with the stock turbo all at once so I only have to get tuned once.

2. To get a solid foundation already in the car if I ever decide to go to a bigger turbo.

So my list is:
APS TBE or MadDad DP + Whisper CB (not sure yet)
MadDad UEL Headers and Vel. UP
APS or Typhoon CAI
Meth Inj

There will also be supporting mods, but I want to discuss them with my Tuner to see if he wants them done or not (Restrictor Pill swap, Boost Solenoid, Pump, Injectors.) But with this setup, I should be able to get all that I can from the Stock Turbo. And if I do pump and injectors, down the road if I decide to go to a 20g all I'll have to do is bolt it in and get retuned.

yeah, that's what I gather....I think the car will be a MAJOR improvement over stock anyway, and will allow me to have some things already done when i choose to upgrade the turbo...at least that my logic. I

t is odd, When I had my GN, the "stages" seemed much more clear cut and understandable....with much less disputes over what is or is not needed when going to certain stages. (Not to say the buick GN forums didn't have their own disputes...)
