Help needed. I want to get an invidia downpipe but i can't decide whether i want to go catted or catless. Alot of ppl say to go catless because catted is very restrictive, but then again i see ppl pushing 300 + whp with catted downpipes. What would ppl reconmend for me. I wanna make the most hp i can possibly push out of the dp. But the diff isn't big i rather go catted and be able to pass inspections.

If you get a quality high flow metallic substrate cat (vs the cheaper less flowing ceramic cats OEMs use) the HP you will lose should be minimal at stock turbo power levels. We're talking maybe 5-10whp. Not a big deal. Buschur Racing did a test with their high flow catted TBE and only lost a couple whp vs their non-cat TBE. Cobb did same thing with similar results I believe.

Some sort of Engine Management, Cobb Access Port for example. + Full Turbo Back Exhaust (probably wouldn't hit the 300 mark with just a DP), at least 93 octane gas and a protune.

yup. That's exactly what I have. It may take 95 octane though but I'm sure there are some people hitting 300 on 93.

Can anyone tell me what they are tapering down to at redline at stage 2 protuned. My 07 seems to taper too much, I'm dropping down to 14.5 PSI at redline usually...

Why again? Do you have more parts that require your tune to be updated?
