This is an APv2 feature only. The APv1 doesn't have enough memory. If I had to guess when this would come out ... I would guess possibly the Wicked Big Meet since Cobb is a huge sponsor for this event and there will be a HUGE subaru following there.

So flatfoot shifting will allows you to keep your foot to the floor while shifting, while keeping the RPMs at a reasonable level?

If the above statement is true, would that mean from the moment I decide I want to launch I can just put it too the floor and not release until I am done going through all the gears?

That's exactly what it means.

This might not be ALL good though. FFS/LC can cause the ECUs ignition retard schemes to kick into gear and pull timing. This pulled timing can get learned in the ECU's knock learning table. From that point forward, your ECU will run lower timing at those points. I'm REALLY interested to see the results of people who log repeated FFS pulls.

Bah.. Cobbforums are blocked at work! WTF I can be here and Nasioc, but not Cobb?!

Ill check it out when I get home. I am more interested in the launch control than flat foot shifting. Hopefully this works out better than the 1/4mile and 0-60 did.

i want to see this in action. i too want to see it in a data log. it can be a verry useful feature, but after that beginning and ending disclaimer, its not worth it if its going to damage the engine. i know these features would make launching easier (which just takes a little practice anyway) and would give you better times at the track, but i wouldnt feel comfortabe using them without some info from cobb stating "as long as you dont do this or that youll be good" ya know?

LC sounds cool, but the flat foot shifting scares me. I am not sure I am willing to try it. Is it possible to set the LC without the flat foot shifting?

Just installed with no issues, Cobb has a defualt setting at 4K for launch setting and 4.5k for flat shifting. Not big into drag racing but, into autox I'am sure the flat shifting will help at some point.
