Any word on this fix that was supposed to be released by Subaru after 45 days? Do we all need case numbers if we want the fix? I have 0 time to got a dealer to have them fiddle with my car and it would be nice to just roll in say "flash me" get the car back 30 minutes later and enjoy what I paid for.

I've emailed SOA the tech's notes and graph because I had little faith the dealership was going to do it themselves. Still waiting on a response.

Well they may have a "lag" issue as it has been called but it still does good from a stop in the 1/4 mile.

My best at the track with the 07 Ltd on my 3rd run was a 13.44 @ 101
I also had a 13.5x @101 and a 13.46 @ 101.

And that was completely stock with no mods so from a stop they are still quick

Yeah, I experience no stuttering at WOT. It's only during spririted driving (2/3) throttle) that I get it, mostly in 2nd gear.

Accelerating aggressivly but not flooring it. It's hard to explain but it's how I like to drive my car and that's when it stutters. So, if I didn't want to feel it I could, a) drive like my grandma or , b) drag race everyone at every stoplight.

My biggest problem with the utec is that while it is very comprehensive and flexible, it is still a piggy back system that is modifying signals that the ECU gets instead of modifying the actual programming of the ECU.

I know far too many people who have gone from Utec to AP vs those who were totally satisfied with the Utec.

Yeah, but if you have a need for warranty work, it is easy to remove, and it doesn't show a reflesh on the ECU. The Utec, from what I understand, takes over all engine management at 16% throttle. I think they tuned it from about 2000 rpm-up.

All I know is that my car runs smooth as silk, and there is no lag whatsoever.

SOA says that a fix is about 30-45 days away. I hope that they can fix the problem once and for all. This is a great car with a lot of potential. When it decides to go, it's gone in a hurry. Go to your dealer and get a case number from SOA. The more the marrier.
