Defi guages quick question

I installed defi guages a month ago or so and one thing that i dont like is that when my key is in accesory to just liten to music the guages are on. my friend has defi guages also but is able to listen to music without guages on. Both of us got power from the center clock. any suggestions.

i think its something to do with the ingnition wire bt not fully sure man i just did install yesterday....have same thing as you I dont mind the guages being on with radio i barely hear the chime

You need to rewire your power to the radio power wires and one wire off the HVAC system and they wont come on till the key is turned to on (started). Here is a link of how to from a different forum. Sorry moderators just trying to help. I followed these dircetions and all is great.

yes, you have to tap for ignition power. you can do it off one of the wires on the hazard buttong too.
