And, how does the CA map treat u?

BTW, According to Shiv Vishnu, the best gas in CA is from Unical 76. I'm starting to stick to the 76 91 octane.

I PMed one of the mods who is into ECU, hopefully he can jump in here and help us.

The Cobb graph says 16 psi..........when you hit 15.8, does the car feel strong?

Target boost for stage 1 is 16psi + or - 0.5psi tapering to 12 by redline.
I would try the LWG map for a little more time. ~15.5 - 16 is pretty much perfect. Try it out for a few more days. It can't hurt.

So 15.8 psi is a good target boost according to Rac, 17.5 sounded a tad high for stage 1.

I wonder what mind will be like.........

See you tomorrow at the meet.

well, we can find out once ur AP comes in. if u need help flashing the base map, i'll come over. we can save a whole day for detailing and logging in some numbers. i got tari hooked up so we're good to go to get realtime ecu readings and data logs.

see u on sat. today i just flashed the car with a Stage 1 LWG Base Map for California Fuel. i'm going to keep that as my base map since it contains the safest stage1 values. gotta keep that engine new. =)

That sounds good. Between 14.5 and 16 psi is 1.5 psi difference, I'm sure the engine can handle that with no problem, after all this entire engine was built to handle turbocharging. 20 psi and above is where I would start to worry about the engine, Rac1000 please correct me if I'm wrong.

Peleg, I would agree. The motor can handle stage 2 (17-18 psi) + a ProTune (19 psi) just fine. I even think the motor itself can handle more but the stock VF39 just runs out of steam / efficiency when you push it above ~19 psi. There is nothing to worry about. Just mod and have fun.

i was attempting a run today, and i couldn't break 15 PSI on a california lwg stage 1 map. i hit 14.8 peak. i got this number off of tari. what gives?!!?!?

so.. i'm kinda torn.

LWG stage 1 map gives me a peak of 14.8 psi reading from TARI.

standard stage 1 map gives me a peak of 17.3 psi reading from TARI.

so........... umm.. what to do?

i think its time to give cobb a call.

That's weird, 14.8 is only .3 more than stock. That doesn't sound right.

Call Cobb.
