STAGE 2 on MONDAY, can't wait. My COBB DP arrived yesterday, and have an appt monday for the install.

After reading numerous posts about how the K&N Typhoon doesn't add power to ap stg 2, I think I am going to put the stock airbox back in and sell the Typhoon.

I have a KNN Typhoon and got around the same results as GSTI on the same Dyno at Gruppe-S(270whp@6250 and 276wtq@3750). Basically at Stage 2, the KNN intake doesn't really help. When I was stock it was my first mod and it seemed to make more power at around 5-6K. It's mainly for sound and at the Stage 2 lvl it might help make a LITTLEmore top end power, but who knows. I'd be interested to see what my results would be with the stock box...

Well, I dynoed the car today (DynaPack)... 276whp and 301wtq. Not sure what to think of these numbers, so I'm hoping you guys may share some insight. I've read this thread and it seems guys are making more power with similar setups.

Mods: AP Stage 2 Pro-tuned (by previous owner), GT Spec Headers, FMIC, Helix Catless Down Pipe, Prodrive Axle Back, K&N Uni Filter, running on 94 octane @15.5 PSI.

I will get the car retuned in a few weeks once I get my AP repaired.

Let me know what you think.

Went for my long awaited first stg2 joyride after work, just got back. WOW, i can definitely feel the torque difference. The jump from stg1 to stg2 is way more noticable than the jump from stock to stg1, according to the butt dyno.

okay enough of the analyzing, my first stage 2 drive went like this.

WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

WAAAAAHHHHHH ... WAHHHHHHHHHHHH that first uphill onramp sold me on stage 2.

yeah ^^ a lot of smilies, I think i'll wake up a bit early to drive the long way to work tmrw.

Wow, that sounds great ! I can't believe it's more noticable than stock to stage 1 ! It's been raining here, so I'm just getting my DP on this evening and going stage 2. I'll hopefully let you know what I felt tomorrow. I just hope it's not too loud !

Default I'm Here!

O.K.- I put my Invidia V2 DP on my 06 STi last night. Everything went well except the turbo bolts. Two of them broke trying to loosen them. The ones on the studs were fine, but those two bolts would NOT loosen ! Everything else went slicker than a whistle !

Then I put my stage 2-93 oct. map in, and away we went. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. At an idle it didn't sound any louder than stock ! Even when revving, it was MUCH quieter than I had expected. It sounds very good.

As far as stage 2, the lower end torque was quite noticable. The gas pedal is much more sensitive now. A slight press on the pedal, and the response is instantaneous ! I'm not sure if the switch from stage 1 to stage 2 was any more noticable than the switch from stock to stage 1, but I haven't driven it enough for it to really settle in yet. Give you an update in a few days !

Today, as my rpm go up to 6K under heavy acceleration, I heard a big bang sound. Someone says it was probably the fuel is running rich, and the sound is probably the back fire from the exhaust.., anyone ever hard that problems?

Was that bang after you shifted? Also, if it was, was your car running for awhile where it was hot? My car does that sometimes when the car is being "pushed", since I have a catless TBE, on the track at Limerock, it would do that when I shifter later in the sessions. Basically the exhaust gases were getting hot and the car runs a little rich for the safe side, and did some "popping", some flame burts here and there . Gotta love Meth and a protune!!!

Just joined the club, man what a great product. I'm running the 93 octane stage 2 as a base map and the car feels better all over. It's nice not being nannied by the whole open loop/closed loop deal, partial throttle is so much improved over stock I couldn't believe it. I'm currently only running the Perrin 3" downpipe with a catback soon to follow.

I'm content for now, tonight was the first time since I bought the car that it really felt quick, boost comes on so much faster and there is a good bit more of it. I was surprised to see how well this map works for an OTS map, target boost for my car is where it should be, boost tapers nicely at the appropriate RPM range and zero drivability issues/CEL's thus far.

I'm also gonna look into an AFR, EGT, and oil pressure gauge to go along with my stock gauge package (boost, voltage, and oil temp).

Oh yeah, Sunoco 94 ftw, car feels ridiculously smooth under boost

Just flashed my ecu an hour ago and took the car out for a drive. The car feels smoother but not what I expected, im only seeing 16.6 psi 1-4th gear on the live boost readings(maybe due to the 100 degree cali heat??) How much boost am i supposed to be seeing?

Loaded Stage 2 last night after I put on my APS 3" TBE. All is well and it feels stronger. Can now easily rip tires loose now!

^as far as your boost I see the same thing, but I'm not worried because in top of 4-5-6 I'm hitting target boost.

now to save for a protune.

Reading all 6 pages makes me want to get the AP... I am running a TXS tbe all catless...

It's just that $600 is a lot..heheh

When you guys are talking about a pro tune that means you have to get another piece in addition to the AP correct? so that = more $$$...?

In all honestly I don't have a problem buying one I just want to make sure that I feel a difference after putting a stage two map on...

I have installed some things on my car and was diappointed because I didn't feel or notice anything...
