leaving stage 2 club as we speak! Had a great time, was a member since about December of 04 and loved every minute of it. Time to go bigger though. In the process of installing an FP20G, so I won't be able to make the stage 2 maps work any longer!!! Enjoy it guys, and Im sure I'll see some of you in the 20G club!

Is it safe to assume flashing the car to stage 2 with a catted downpipe will work with no issues? I've read several posts and it seems that most are runing with no problems and read a couple of posts with people who did not have a positive experience. I just want to check for any and all information I can get before going forward with my plan. I want either the Cobb catted or Helix catted downpipe. Opinions?

I know pro tuninig can make fuel curves better throughout the RPM range and squeeze more power, but is it required? Any risks?

Thanks,

JP

there arent really any risks that ive seen....but then again anythings possible someone that doesnt know how to tune....a protune on a stage 2 is good for probably 15-25 extra hp on top of a stage 2(290+ whp)....if youre gonna go that route, why dont ya spend and extra 500 for a SMC meth injection and then have it protuned.....you'd probably be crankin at least 315whp or more(ive seen threads with a protune + meth and guys turning out 330whp on a stock turbo)...but then again...it depends on how good the tuner is

joined stage 2 three weeks after getting the scooby. only one experience with boost creep which i believe was due to running a stage 2 real time with a stage 1 base but reflashing base to stage 2 fixed the cell code. overall stage 2 is frickin great but it's time to go 'red'

unless youre gettin a deal on a red.....u should seriously consider going the rotated route if you want a clean setup....stock locals are good, but theres a reason why rotated set ups are the thing now...kinda like, with tuning...in the beginning it was unichip, then UTEC then ecutek now COBB....just some advice

Me too, last night. G-tech dyno plot before/after (same night) below:

Black before, red after.

Am going to try again in a few days to see if the IAM improves the gain, which seems a bit narrow at this point.

Ok guys after over a month of waiting, my ap finally came today. I rode around a little but I'm only seeing like 14.5 of boost on the ap, and my cel is still on its P0327 knock sensor 1 circuit low input should i just make an appointment to get it protuned?
