So I just went stage 2 with a protune but now I'm hearing a strange noise when at WOT between 3k to redline. It sounds like a fluttering noise but gets loader the higher I rev it. I've heard of waste gate flutter, but I'm not positive this is what I'm hearing. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have an aftermarket intake?

I'm using the stock airbox.

No aftermarket intake....then it is most likely not a wastegate flutter.

How much boost are you pushing?

You might to take the tuner for a ride and have him/her listen to it.

Went back to GST today and took Mike for a ride. Mike recognized it right away as being waste gate flutter. I feel a lot better now after having this verified.

Ya, the famous wastegate flutter.

Mike will be re-tuning me on Sunday.

i have a similar sound to a flutter but it only happens when i punch it in 6th gear then it goes away at a high rpm...

it's kinda annoy but it doesn't hurt anything i guess..

i wanna get tuned in the worst way now..

thats if i can get a hold of dave at mspt...lol

Fresh off the dyno at GST, added the APS 65mm, keep in mind, I'm running the stock catback.

First dyno run:

Second dyno run:

Third dyno run:

Tuning begins......time for some AFR adjustments...

Final results:

Nice numbers I am going to GST saturday with my stage two setup. I have to put in my fuel pump this week before I go. Mines overboosting right now so I can't really drive it to hard.

So did you get the 65mm aps intake after you went back to get it retuned? You were the one that was mentioning wastegate flutter right?

I ask because I am debating on spending the cash to get an intake and the prodrive solenoid before the tune

How did the before and after feel also?
