As long as you're not going over 19-19.5 psi, you're probably OK. Just becareful when temps start to drop (cool nights or winter.) I would probably still get a Protune just to make sure, as the Cobb OTS map can vary widely from car to car, but other than that, a quick spike to 19psi isn't that big a deal.

Heck, my Protune was targeting 19psi and after I put my full 3" exhaust on I was seeing a spike to 20-20.7 psi in 4th (21.5 in 5th...which I rarely used because of it) from 3-4K RPM. I ran like that for 2000 KM with no problems. I was just retuned and now only see 18.8-19.5 psi and a quick spike to 19.5-20.1psi in 5th. I've datalogged the crap out of my car and it still adds timing and I've never seen any knock - though I do run 94 octane all the time.

Tried to go stage 2 today - installed the perrin catted downpipe and my AP went wild during reflash ( did a post a few back ). Even driving home on my stage 1 map since I couldn't reflash it still felt powerful. Think I'll love the real stage 2 =)

If you haven't flashed Stage 2, then you're not stage 2. Once you flash it you should feel a difference. You need EM with a downpipe and I wouldn't drive much longer without flashing to stage 2.

what damage, if any and how long does it take to occur when driving with downpipe and no reflash? the AP is late. supposed to have arrived today!

Holy shiet stage II really smoothed power delivery and is a nice increase. I should call my dealer and tell them they owe me the money it cost to buy the Cobb because that is how it should have came. (with a 20G and no TGVs)
