Just installed my downpipe yesterday. Stage II is better than I ever imagined. My buddy also gave me the front lip spoiler from his limited for free!

Question: Does anybody notice a hissing sound while accelerating? I am assuming that it is the high flow catalytic converter on my COBB downpipe, but I just want to make sure this is normal.

I noticed that you have a rear diff cover. That will colide if you do the cat back portion with a 3" pipe...

Also wait till you protune... you will not believe the power you car has, the acceleration is so wonderful. It even makes my wife smile.

I am almost positive that hissing sound is the high flow catalytic converter. I am positive all the connections are super tight. The power and acceleration is unbelievable and instantaneous. Right now I am happy without a protune, but it is nice to know that I still can go one more step if I need to. I wonder if when COBB comes out with the street tuner software, if you can just let a tuner use that to do the protune. Maybe that will make it cheaper since all they have to do is tweak the street tuner program. A protune is generally 500 dollars, right?

To address the Rear Diff cover; I am just going with the DP for now. Thanks for the heads up though.

That "hissing" sound is your IWG working. It's your boost control system continually adjusting the wastgate as to maintain the target boost level. The aftermarket DPs, especially bellmouth design make the WG pretty loud due to the thinner (although higher quality) metal than the stock pos.

Ohhhh. That makes sense. I figured it was something normal and not a flaw in my install. Stage II is unbelievable!

Cobb does not agree with this post. They say a DP plus at least a CBE to utilize Stage 2. Be sure to check out the post on Cobb Tuning about running a AP without cats...they suggest it is NOT a good idea.

Sup gang, I'm stage 2 with an invidia v3 catless DP, and borla xr-1 (I love this catback). I'm spiking to about 19psi in 4th-6th. I'm spiking but not creeping at all. Boost tapers off just fine. Should I worry about it and run the lwg map? The lwg map just doesn't seem to spool nearly as quick.
