AP Stage 2 Club - Page 3

I want to join the stage 2 club but...

I have a K&N typhoon and apparently cobb says no to the typhoon
I don't have a downpipe
I don't have AP
Worst of all
I don't have gauges

Dude, you can use the Typhoon on the AP Stg2...there are people running that and are fine. I have the Perrin Short Ram Intake.....and STG1 and STG2 are running perfect! Get the AP and DP and your set! I have gauges that need to in though ahhaa.

I have a K&N typhoon on my stage 2 setup...no issues to speak of. Getting protuned in a couple weeks. I don't have gauges (stock boost doesn't count) yet

Damn Stock Boost gauge doesn't count??!?! Does the AEM Wideband sitting in the garage and soon, Defi Imperial Boost gauge count ahahaha.

My friend ran a typhoon with his Stage 2. When he got protuned I think he boosted to an excess of 21psi and ran real lean. Right now I have the stock airbox with the STi drop in - I think my peak boost was 17.9 with a catted downpipe.

When flashing to Stage 2, do you guys flash base map Stage 2? When is the realtime map used? I flashed Stage 2 base map! What are your thoughts about gettings maps from fellow members? I can't invest in Street tuner and not asble to get a protune because of location!

I just installed on my new 06 a K&N typhoon, and i got the APS 3.5" turbo back and the cobb AP coming to me saturday.... What do i need to know or do... Will the flash to stage 2 give me a good solid baseline. I will be taking it in for a protune, but hopefully the AP will eliminate Cel lights and what not, I just want this thing to run fairly strong without hitting fuel / boost cuts etc... with the AP im in the clear???

The AP will take care of any CEL lights. As far as boost creep, it seems like the people with the catless downpipes are more likely to get it. Either way, if you're taking it in for a protune they should be able to take care of everything for ya.

Maybe,

Seems like you have a 50/50 chance of being ok. I overboosted when I went Stg 2 with a typhoon, and went back to the stock airbox to fix it.

Protune will allow everything to work great
