Honestly though, I think my STi will be fine. I know I still have 2-cats but I've heard about people overboosting on stage 1 and I haven't had that problem at all. I get a quick boost spike to 17psi in 4-5th then it settles to 16.6, dropping to 15.0-15.9psi by redline. I love the Defi's 3-minute recording feature, it really helps so I don't have to keep my eyes on the gauges. ![]() I'm so excited... | |

It feels much stronger. I have a full Cobb exhaust with no cat and have had no problems with the set-up. Before the AP I had boost creep. Loading it on the car went smooth and I would recomend it to anyone. I would do a protune also if there was one close to me. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (4) | Got my wideband and boost gauges in and can finally see what my cars actually doing. 4th gear mash gas @ 4krpm and instant 21psi steady to 5800 rpm then down to 19 til redline. A/F reads 10.8 4krpm til boost tapes down to 19psi then A/F is 11.3. This was w/ OTS st.2 93 map with fresh ECU reset and A/F got alittle richer saw 10.3 in 5th gear til redline but always hitting 21 psi max. I wish the AP v.2's boost reading capability was higher. Car runs good no complaints other than I thought I was running rich and I am even w/ shortram intake and full catless TXS w/rfl. No creep and steady boost gauge. I really want the new street tuner software to be out already. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I will be installing a COBB catless downpipe tomorrow and I have been wanting to do this even before I got my STi. I will use the LWG Stage 2 map first because when I went to Stage 1, I had to use the LWG due to boost spiking and causing the CEL to come on. I am currently runnig a Blitz Nur Spec R 3 inch catback and the Typhoon. I was wondering if with this setup will the car shoot flames out of the exhaust? I am NOT running a BOV but doesn't the OTS stage 2 map run very rich? I have heard so many different things and I am really not sure what to expect. I will update with a video clip as soon as it's on and the car so we can all see it in action. CANT WAIT!!!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | Just how much do yall think is really lost keeping the stock catback on? I'm STG2 with a catless Invidia V3 DP and thats it. Is it worth it to get protuned with the stock CB? With the standard map I will ocassionaly spike to 18.5- 19 psi. Think I'm still safe? I believe the target is 17.5 + or - .5, is that right? I've run the LWG map it just doesnt seem to spool as fast. Ok no more questions LOL. Oh and +1 for power at sea level. I'm probbably no more than 100 above =) |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | STAGE 2 FTW!!! I LOVE THE POWER. I hit 20 lbs of boost today and no CEL!!! The car pulls like a monster now. Also, I installed the new SPT turbo heat shield which mounts over the stock turbo heat shield and it looks great and adds more protection from heat soak to the TMIC. I will post a pic in the next day or so for those of you that haven't seen this yet. I can't wait to drive it again after work! |
