It wasnt a BIG difference, maybe a couple more miles to the gallon, but it will make a little difference if you stay off the go pedal.

Going back to stock. My car runs WORSE now than it did stock. With the exception of the hesitation beging gone. I cant go WOT without sputtering and popping, the AP only reads boost up to 18.4psi, but the notes say that its tuned to go up to 19psi. I have no idea, the only thing people can tell me is that I need to be custom tuned.... So thats another $500 and still no 100% guarentee that boost issues will be solved. Anyone want my parts they all have about 150 miles on them.
confused. the sputtering and popping needs to be explained more. What's your boost issues?

It is pretty simple. You'll need some PB Blaster to spray on the rusty bolts holding the old DP to the turbo & a couple of wrenches.

Look in the "how too" treads in this forum for instructions. I would recomend you take off the turbo heat sheild & spray all the bolt & let it sit for a few hour before you try to loosen them (I did it the night before). Don't use the stock donut gasket at the rear end of the DP, use the gasket that comes with the Helix.

My boost issues, I guess is too much boost. It doesnt matter what gear I'm in. I cant go WOT. out of the exhaust, without cutoff I get sputtering and popping like back or afterfire noises and then a lack of acceleration, but no a fuel cut. the AP guage (because I have a cheap-o VDO guage) is what I'm going by because it is MUCH more accurate *i think* My car quickly gains full boost around 18.4psi or more then I get the sputtering and popping sounds, so I let off the gas and the car is normal again.

do you have the LWG and HWG maps? I would switch to the map that lowers your boost level and try it then.

edit: damn. you have an 07, ill do more searching.

download it for the low boost. sounds like you're overboosting and then running lean, causing the popping condition.

I dont think that you should download a 2006 map for your 07(too many things are different: turbo, gearing etc) I think that you should wait until monday and then give COBB a call. They will definately help you.
