so far so good, love the extra pull. Only problem is that I have a bit of an exhaust leak. I am using a Helix DP with a stock catback. I left the donut gasket in (flat side to the DP) any way to fix this? Could I use some of that "Liquid Gaske" stuff? | |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | The right tools, PB Blast the night before, and an extra set of hands FTW! Stage II is unbelievable! The biggest improvement is in how fast the Turbo comes on.... but its stronger up top too. Much more fun to drive! I logged almost perfect target boost... one early test run I briefly hit 18psi in 4th gear, but it quickly came back down... after that its been 17.5 all the way. | Junior STI Driver | Finally at stage 2. Very easy to do and it is unreal just how fast the turbo comes on to boost now. You don't really feel the difference down low as much as you do up top. I'm only hitting target boost in 4th-6th gear though. I'm hitting just a tad over 1 bar in third. |

I mean, if you already have the the AP and TBE purchased and sitting in the garage and ready to be put on the car. Can it be done by someone fairly inclined into mechanics and at home or do you need a local shop to at least install the tbe? Thanks again. |

I would definately say have a friend to help, especially for when you are mating the new DP to the turbo. You will need one person under the car for support and lift and one above to line up the studs. good luck, you'll love it! |

| Silver Member | I didn't bother to put the heatshield back on. I did mine without removing the topmount. It's really not that bad, I got the lower bolt from underneath everything else came off really easy. The only problem I have had with Stage2 so far was some overboost the other night, it spiked up to 21psi and hit boost cut, tossed a CEL and everything. Cleared it and were back on track. Goes right to 17.5-18 and holds steady. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
