Update - you can reset the ECU via the AP (no need to disconnect the battery) and that fixes the issue as well. However, I'm not sure if your RT map is still present then.

Max,

Yeah thats how I was resetting mine. By definition the ECU reset through the AP or via disconnecting the battery, or otherwise: will cause you to lose your realtime map. It will default to your basemap and thats that.

For the record - for the '05 STI this is not true. A battery disconnect will absolutely wipe out the realtime information. However, doing an ECU reset via the AP or via the ST software will NOT wipe out he realtime information. A change was made later down the line to keep the realtime information during a 'soft reset'.

Update: the maps Christian sent me yesterday made no difference. He will be working today with Cobb's AccessECU software department to further diagnose the problem. Per Christian, Cobb is committed to solving the issue as quickly as possible.

Thanks for the update. I'm sure Cobb will do what they have to, to resolve this issue.

oh btw, have they been able to get an 06' to the shop to confirm our findings. Getting one in the shop might be better for the diagnosis/troubleshooting process.

We are working on this issue today and will continue to work on it over the weekend. Unfortunately, our 2006 STi is down right now getting fitted for various prototype parts that we are developing. At this point, it would take several days just to get it up and running. If need be, we may have to track down a local 2006 STi with AP to complete some additional testing and diagnosis. I will keep you updated. Please be patient and allow us to take care of this properly.

Thanks,
Christian.

Christian,

Sounds good. We are standing by, and I am certainly ready to assist however possible, though I'm definately not local enough to help out directly.

ruh roh... I just purchased an AP for my 06.
No problem with the hardware right? Just the maps are messed up, for now?

Thanks to Christian and everyone else involved for keeping us updated. I appreciate it very much, and I'm certain that the '06 owners do too.
