What do i have to do to get a protune?

what i just figured out is you dont really need an accessport to get a tune. the accessport just has nicely added features that most everyone likes. obviously youll get better power gains with a tune.

to the op, what do you mean? do you mean what mods do you need to get?

go to any decent tuning shop and they will give you your options and explain everything in detail.

Since you have a 07 like me...do a compression test before any tuning to see if you have to replace any pistons. It will cost $500 or so if they find a ringland or 2 cracked but save you $2000 later down the line.

you do not HAVE to have cobb accessport to get it tuned you know subaru is OPENSOURCE

did you actually read what i typed?

i know you that can get an opensource tune, but that's not what we're talking about.

we're talking about a PROTUNE. which is done with cobb PROTUNER software, which requires you to have an ACCESSPORT.

an opensource tune is not called a protune.

protune or tune i was jus wandering with certain mods what to do, my best bet is to get a tune, i would like to get a turboback with CAI, FMIC, injectors, fuel pump, mybe turbo swap too nothing major thou My goal is 400hp if you have anysuggestions can u let me know thanks...........
