the BOV vented to atmo causes my mr2 to throw flames
it's releasing metered air to the atmosphere, air that has already gone through fuel calculations. meaning- fuel is being added for air that is no longer there.
lose the BOV and AFC and buy the accessport. you'll be much happier.

btw: the flames never hurt my car- I would've gone back to a stock bov, but i bought my car without one.

thanks guys u have been great, im going to take your advice and send back the afc put back on my stock bov and get a accessport...i will let u know how it goes...say the bov was the problem will it still be loud and if not whats another good bov (one set up like stock would be best especially if it doesent backfire after putting the stock one on)..

Got my accessport up at south coast subaru today and cancelled the order on the afc...so now i need my boost gauge..im to broke for the defi setup now so was looking to get a boost gauge for right in front of the steering wheel. im not worried about price so if u guys have any ideas let me know pics would be good to..needs to look clean and match my instament lights...i will let u guys know how the AP runs got it on stage 2 91 octane right now i will get on it in the next couple of days and going to dyno it next wed...

for the mean time, the accessport has a realtime boost gauge that you could use.

hey cnstman the instructions say dont run car while plugged in but how are u supposed to know your boost if u cant drive with it on??????

i don't think it says that. you can run it with it plugged in just fine, just watch the connector between your legs.

if i remember correctly, it says to not switch maps while driving incase the car stalls.
