| Lurker | Hello All, I just purchased an '04 STi with some performance upgrades. The car has a Defi gauge set, and the EGT gauge reads 800 deg F. within 30 seconds engine start. At normal driving, the EGT gauge stabilizes between 1200 and 1400 degrees. I took an infrared temp reading at the site of the EGT probe install, and after about five minutes at idle, the highest the header temp got was about 195 deg F., yet the Defi gauge read 800 deg. Anyone out there had a similar experience? What are the chances of a faulty probe? thanks skytow This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
