Default Gauge question

Hi,

I actually have the OEM Lamco boost gauge columns mounted and
I am about to order a 3 gauges POD. I also have an wideband AFR DB Innovate motorsport 52mm gauge. I have the following options:

1.- Keep stock boost gauge and buy 2 gauges other than boost ( 2 other gauges to buy)

2.- Ditch the OEM boost gauge. Get a good boost gauge ( 1 other gauge to buy )

What do you recommend to do? Consequently, what gauge(s) would you choose for a stage 2 car?

I would say decide which other gauges you need, then figure out the math. If you don't need too many gauges, and just want to clear the steering column, then it's an obvious choice - move the the boost gauge into your pod, and get 2 more gauges to fill up the space. However, if you start listing the gauges you need, you decide you absolutely need a certain set of 3 new gauges, then you can leave the stock one on.
I just installed and after market boost gauge and I'm thinking I'll get up to six gauges total and 2x3 gauge pods. I already have the A-pillar 3-gauge pod, and am planning on getting the dashboard 3-gauge one....
If you can move the boost gauge into the pod, I'd say go for it, looks much better IMO. The stock boos gauge is kinds awkward looking and awkwardly placed and just doesn't flow with the rest of the dash....

I have the stocker also and just went to defi gauges with boost, oil pressure, and egt. I'm going to get rid of the stocker soon, its just in the way and I agree that it clashes with the rest of the dash

Is the AFR you have a wideband? That is a good one to have, especially the WB (kinda pricey, at around $250-$350). For the others, it just depends on what kind of mods/tuning you'll be getting into. What you can definitely rule out is if you have a AFR, you will not need an EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature), since they're pretty much tell you the same thing. EGT tells you an approximate AFR, just like the narrowband AFR.
There's was a thread around with the similar subject, and I believe most people were going with the Oil pressure/Oil temperature gauges in addition to the ones you already have (Boost, AFR(WB?)).

Sweet. I'd probably get the oil pressure one and put those three in a pod + get rid of the stocker.
That's probably the route I'll go. Saving up for the WB AFR right now....the other ones are not too pricey, I don't think. Oil pressure will be next, and that will fill up my A-pillar. Then if I get more (which I might need), I'll probably do 3 more in the clock area.
Speaking of which, some time ago I saw a clock mount 3-gauge pod that had the clock in it (on the bottom, it pretty much looked like the stocker). I can't find it anywhere anymore and I didn't mark the link! If anyone runs into it, plz let me know...!

I wish there was something similar for 52mm gauges. Anyone know?
