Default MAP sensor problem?

hi guys,

I don't know if I have a faulty MAP sensor.

The wire going to the pump of meth kit was disconnected because it's not yet tuned with the meth kit and my pump gas tune isn't finished so far.

here are the readings

1. defi boost gauge 23psi peak
2. labonte meth kit display 21.4 psi peak
3. ecutek datalog 14.4 psi peak @ 4718 rpm intake air is 45 celcius AFR is 11.13 vehicle speed is 87kph, knock correction 0

with that run, I felt the car was hesitating a bit when it reached 5776 rpm 10.3 psi of boost and intake air is 41celsius, AFR 11.13, vehicle speed 69kph, knock correction 0, was was wondering why it was hesitating.

when I stopped the car, I check the log, the difference of the recorded peak boost pressure between the defi at 23psi and ecutek at 14.4 psi is so huge. I'm wondering if I have a faulty MAP sensor.

my second run, I connected the wire to the pump of the meth kit and observe if it will improve.

recorded readings

1. defi 23 psi
2. labonte 18.4 psi
3. ecutek datalog 18.4 psi 5743rpm, 62kph, intake air temp 35 celsius, AFR 11.13, knock correction 0 and no hesitation that time.

I'm wondering what could have cause the very big difference in recorded peak boost pressure. anyone experience this before?

I'll have my sensor checked by my dealer next week.

Default Re: MAP sensor problem?

It has bee known that Defi's read notoriously high boost pressure? Dunno why? my buddies is about 4psi off.

You'd think it would read better for being a $500 gauge?
