Tunning 04 STi w/ Romraider, ECUFlash or Just Flasshing.... HELP HELP

K guys me and my friend owner of the 04 sti. are trying to turn up his boost. But we cannot figure out were exactly this trims are.... Also i think his car might of been tuned already but they tried to return to stock but left a few parts on it and left the tune w/out changing anything and took it back to the dealership. (thats were the car was bought).

Anyone know were any maps are that I can trust to flash over to my ECUFlash and flash to HIS STi. ???? or where i can start tweakign it a lil.

Were getting a wideband here soon like next few weeks like in two...

Any pointers guys......

Since you have a couple of weeks until you have the proper gauges to even begin to tune, I would log the car, post the log asking for help, explain the situation and read as much as you can on the romraider forums and here to educate yourself on tuning and how the tables and relationships work.

Fixing other peoples mistakes can be much harder than tuning a car from scratch, especially when your not sure what you have.

But that is just my $0.02

Ok good, then here is a link to a stock 04 STI ROM

use ecu flash to grab his current ROM and compare it to the one you can download in the link above and see what the differences are

You will just have to go map by map, using the 3d graphs is nice since you can open them both side by side.

You can view and edit the file in either romraider or ecu flash, I would just look at it in ecu flash for now. If you get stuck and can't figure it out post up his ROM on the forum and ask for specific help.

If you want to tune the boost you need to edit the wastegate duty cycle tables, target boost tables and the Turbo dynamics tables. You would also need to edit fuel cut boost limit and other shenanigans as such. I prefer rom raider since you can compare maps and copy paste them Ftw.
