In the Engine, Power, and Perforamnce stickies thread:

Read this before you create a new thread about BOVs (Blow-off valves)

Summary: Don't get a BOV. You'll run rich between shifts, lose perforamnce, mess up your cats, and get black soot all over your rear bumper. Stick with the stock BPV, it's plenty good.

Before we all jump on the BOVs are bad bandwagon...

OP do you have mods on your car that would actually require a BOV or do you just want the noise?

I've been thinking about this bov as well. Intrigued by the springless action. Wondering if I should go with this or the forge bpv. running 23-25psi.

I love my Greddy Type-S Bov. Its rare and the noise is pretty unique. Its recirced to, so no problems For your answer tho I heard synapse was a great bov. When they compaired to Tials bov it blew it out of the water. Tial is what I'm getting when I go bigger turbo.

I hated my Forge BPV. It either leaked or surged depending on how I adjusted it.

I now run a Tial 50mm BOV with Speed Density mapping via my UTEC to prevent rich post-shift conditions.

And those videos comparing the Synapse BOV and the Tial BOV have been debunked.

Based on the join date I would guess it's for the noise. Read the stickys and research, research, research. Most of us made the same mistake. I know i did

Focus on the cars perfomance and forget about the noises it makes.

I had it... I couldnt get it to mount up with the recir. tube. I sold it all together and put the stock on back on. Would need to find a different kind of tube. Was a PIA!!!

i love my synapse.....it dont leak, and it is super responsive..... but it has 3 different ports that have to be hooked up....2 vaccume/boost, and one boost only ....... but i will agree that the recirc hose is a pita if you have a FMIC, but but what do you expect with a aftermarket bov....the stock recirc hose was designed for stock BPV....thats like buying a 20g and saying it was a pita cause i need new injectors.....
