Smile RomRaider in Colorado

Like the title.
I am in Denver CO and just got my tatrix cable and looking to work on a stage 2 tune for my 2004 STI. I have installed ECUFlash and RomRaider. What I would like to know is there anyone experienced -- I need a little help getting started.

I have read and read... searched and searched...
Book smart is one thing, learning from experience is another.

Assistance is appreciated.

I'm just starting to use that software too. More details on what you are doing and going to do would be useful for other on this forum to learn it would be great...

I am going to pull some logs tonight from my stock 2004 STI. To get a “baseline”.

Some advice and I think that it’s the best that I have seen.

Mainly you want to have a Wideband meter with you as tuning the fuel trims will require it. Basically you will be working with the Timing and Fuel tables since thats where you will make the power, the other settings are failsafe and the other stuff that makes the car drivable. My recommendation is, get a manual boost controller Specially the Hallman one. The wastegate duty cycle tables are hard to get them to the point that you want stable boost. By using a boost controler you eliminate tuning the Wasgate duty cycles turbo dynamics etc. Best way to start up is by tuning your stock map to your mods

So looks like I need to find the wide band, a boost controller, and a walbro.

My car turns 50,000 miles today and thought changing the fuel filter was a good idea. While I am in there a new pump. J

Then I will start on the mod process. Looks like a MadDad(TM) Metal V2 two-piece Downpipe then a catback for 3” goodness.

If your car is bone stock for the moment, you can edit the fuel tables since the Sti comes pig rich from stock. When editing the map you want to make small increments and log for knock. Also don't push the car to hard, if is not knocking it doesn't mean that you can keep going. There are certain tings that aren't established like "don't go over 21 psi on stock turbo injectors etc" Mainly you log and make increments and log and this is the process.
