Default Road Tuning Question

hi guys,

I have access to 4 wheel dynos here in the Philippines, but I chose not to get any dyno readings or pull for now and being road tuned by I-Speed. I'm getting tuned with rev limit of 8000 rpm

my tranny's gear ratio are:

1. 3.636
2. 2.235
3. 1.521
4. 1.137
5. 0.891
6. 0.707

final drive is 3.9

my question is at what gear do i need to do my pull from 2000 to 8000 rpm? Will the 4th gear pull be enough or do I need to use my 5th or 6th gear?
please note that doing it in my 6th gear is very hard for my engine and risk detonation. Will a 5th gear pull simulate the 6th gear pull close enough?

I think I manage a 5th gear pull to 8000 rpm, I'm sure I can find the space and time to do that but I'm not sure of the 6th gear. Or can the 4th gear do it for me? I love pushing my car to very high speeds on the highway and I really want to maximize my road tuning. Once my tuning is done with different fuel blends, I'll use my 6th gear a lot on our highway pushing to the limit.

I hope those who got a road tune can help me out.
thanks in advance

Below are the gear ratio's for the USDM STi's, your gear ratio in 4th gear is the same as for the USDM as well as the final drive. From what I have read 4th gear is the appropriate dyno/log gear to use for the USDM 2007 STi's.

USDM 2007 STi USDM 2004-06 STi
3.636 (1st) 3.636 (1st)
2.235 (2nd) 2.375 (2nd)
1.521 (3rd) 1.761 (3rd)
1.137 (4th) 1.346 (4th)
0.971 (5th) 0.971 (5th)
0.756 (6th) 0.756 (6th)

thanks, we exchanged email before, if I remember correctly he told me to use 4th gear, not so sure, must look for his previous email.

maybe i will try the 4th gear for pump gas fuel, then 5th gear for pump gas plus meth kit to be on the safe side
