Default Access Port MPG reading

I have an 07 sti w/Access Port only(stage1 map). THe funny thing i'm noticing on the "Average" not "instant" miles per gallon reading under Fuel Economy is, that I get more miles per gallon when traveling 80mph - 24mpg versus 65mph @18.5mpg. The faster i go the more mpg rises. Is that reading correct? The faster i go the more gas i save? This driving is done on the freeway also driving about 100 or so miles.

It's not accurate, at all..

I used it on a trip down to FL from NY and back. It was never on. IIRC it was reading 30mpg avg, and I was doing the numbers manually at every fill up and the best I did with the manual numbers was approx 24.7mpg. I check my mileage at every fill up and the AP has never been correct.

Like all cobbs toys, it is fun to play with, but doesnt really do much. Same can be said for the 1/4 mile, 0-60, and the HP readings.

Any vehicle i have been in that has onboard mpg is way off i can make my wifes ford edge say i get 88mpg when it really gets about 19. Only way it could be truly accurate is you would have to go the same speed on flat ground and never go slower or faster.
