Cobb is easier and more people tend to have it, so if you need help there's a lot more info.

I have had no experience with the Utec but I have had zero problems with my AP and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for EM.

There are advantages and disadvantages to using both systems. You must evaluate both Pros and Cons.

I have Cobb Street Tuner and Utec installed. I even have the Rom Raider cable to make changes that Cobb software is unable to manage. I have found the cobb software to be user friendly and easy to use. But, I had timing issues with it. That’s why I installed the Utec; reliable and repeatability in terms of timing management with the must have, knock monitoring. I have used RomRaider to raise the rev limiter on my STI, Cobb will not allow to set this beyond 7200 on DBW cars. Also, the timing compensation per cylinder was eliminated. I guess that each software has its advantages and disadvantages; combining them contributes to a complete package. Just my 2 cents.

My results:

2005 Sti – FP Green @22 PSI 93 Oct 11.8 secs @ ¼ mile
