Defi oil temp gauge being stupid

I have had the defi amber boost, OT, OP for a little over a year now. Recently I noticed my oil temp gauge acting weird. It kinda jumps around every so often like its going crazy. Its not like its losing connection it just flys all over the place, then stops. It seems to do it more when Im idling and the temp of the car makes no difference. The boost and OP gauge are perfectly fine. I tried unplugging it at the controller and that did nothing. Any ideas? Both sensors are in a greddy sandwich adapter.

like it's fluctuating? i would check your oil level.

oil level is perfect. It will start off fine and then all of a sudden it jumps all over the gauge then settles back to normal. It can be fine the whole time or crazy the whole time. When I hit the peak button it shows the peak like normal which makes me think its the temp probe. Has anyone heard of these going bad after a year?
