PDX Tuning maps for COBB AP??

Has anyone used custom maps by PDX Tuning? If so anyone got any feedback? I've read great stuff about PDX Tuning but I need more to base a decision on before I can the "generic" COBB maps.

Some report better results, but I'd not spend the extra $ on a generic OTS map and use it towards a protune. A OTS map is an OTS map, none will replace a protune, period.

i have both a 91 & 93oct pdx e-tune, and am satisfied they offer a nice bump in power, and when i get to the track ill report the increase in the 1/4mile...best was 13.02 on a ots stage 2 91 map.....ill run the 93 e-tune map and post my times...

I honestly feel like it's hit or miss. You might as well drop the $350-$500 on a proper road tune or dyno tune. A buddy of mine had a terrible experience with the PDX maps for his 05 WRX. I understand that some people may be very far from a reputable tuner or just don't have the funds to drop that kind of money on a tune but realize the cost associated with replacing a motor. It's better to have the parameters in your map optimized in realtime on your vehicle. Better safe than sorry.
