Do I need to unmarry before Protune???

So the time for the install and Protune is getting closer and closer. When I bought the car, the previous owner gave me his AP version 1. The car currently has the Stage 2 map. I am getting a protune the day after I install the cai and cat-back. I am selling the AP, so I'm guessing I need to unmarry the AP from the car before the protune. Thanks for any and all help...

uhh you need the AP for protune...unless...you're going with a different EMS?

Uh-oh. Are you getting tuned with an Opensource type EM? If not, you need to have the Cobb AP for your ProTune...

Got the answer...I'm just going to unmarry the AP...right before the open ecu protune...

what's a reasonable price to sell a used version 1 AP for? With box and all original wires/equipment...

$300-350 shipped is what I've seen them go for.

I actually have a buddy looking for one so if you are serious on selling it, I'll tell him.
