Default access port problem....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

ok i bought my 06 sti used from a dealer and i was going to try out my friends ap because he is selling it and it said that my ECU could not be remapped because my car had already been tuned with an ap.....we double check his to make sure it still wasnt on his car and everything was normal....is there anyway i can reset the ECU by myself or can Subaru do it or what???....PLZ HELP....thanks in advance.....!!!

did you click uninstall from his car before using it on your car.

yeesss.it is properly unmarried from his car...it said my ECU has already been reflashed with an access port..i jsut want my own accessport so "I" have the control over my ECU

If you have a map loaded from another accessport then you are f**ked. You would need that accessport to change anything, including unmarrying the map from your ECU. I would suggest calling cobb and see what they can offer. I bet you will probably have to send in your ECU however. Good luck.

Yeah sounds like whoever the previous owner was flashed the car and thats why you can't flash now with your AP. I'm guessing like rmo55c that you'll have to send in the ECU to Cobb. They should be able to fix it so you can flash.
