Default Datalogging on Mac OS X

I did search for this but could not find the topic I was looking for....I have a new Macbook (love it) and wish to start datalogging with it. I am only running OS X (no VMware or bootcamp with windows). Can this be done? Also, I have a Cobb AP2.

I swear I remember seeing if somewhere that you can use the AP2 with a mac and also datalog using the AP cable.

Any advice/suggestions would be great, thanks!

All that is out at this time is the Map Manager Software in Beta for Mac OSX, that is all that is offered at this time from Cobb.

If your simply interested in data logging; can't you use Enginuity via your Apple to log?

All I want to do is datalog and put the data on my mac.....Do I have to buy the tactrix cable or can I use the AP2 cable?

this is prolly something you dont want to hear... im running a macbook with xp using a utec datelogger program i got from the net... it basically lets u datalog all the info from the utec and datalog all the info from your wideband. I think the same company that makes the software i use makes it for the cobb accessport as well. the only thing that sucks is u have to run 2 serial cables that convert to usb 2.0 since our lovely macs do not have serial ports.

Good luck getting it to work on the mac. I ****ed with it for about 2 weeks with input from several engenuity/tactrix developers and gave up. The mac will simply not talk to the cable for some reason. EcuFlash comes with its own FTDI drivers for USB to Serial, but they are very iffy. Engenuity for some reason is not compatible with these drivers on the mac, so you can download some, however when you install the other FTDI drivers for it, the first ones no longer work. The ones that you can download conflict some how, they also dont work for the reason that you downloaded them for in the first place. I know all of this is not what you want to hear, but install XP on the boot camp and everything works perfectly. By all means try to get it working on the Mac, but it will not work. Even though the program runs the cable simply isnt compatible with Mac. There are also other quirks in the software on the mac that arent present on the PC such as only being able to open one map at a time for editing on the mac, but you can open multiple maps on the PC.

At the moment, the only logging solution for the Mac is to run a Virtual Machine on it with Windows XP.

It really pisses me off that the Mac version of RomRaider works so poorly, but I'm not a good enough programmer to do anything about it.

EcuFlash works on OSX. If you have any problems let me know at support(@)tactrix.com and I will try to fix them.
