Exxactly, I'm looking to log on my macbook. I dont want or need tuning/reflashing, just want to do data logging.

Anyone heard of JDash? I found it online and seems to do some logging for subarus and mac's.

EcuFlash has been up to this point just a flashing / tuning program, not a logging program. I am adding logging to EcuFlash, ideally timed with the release of the OpenPort 2.0 cable which is also capable of stand alone logging. You will also be able to log with the older cables.

Regarding the problem with EcuFlash working with OpenPort cables on OSX 10.5 - I spoke with the manufacturer of the OpenPort USB chipset and they are aware of a problem with their drivers on 10.5. I'm pushing them to fix it soon.

Thanks! Let me know when it's ready or if you need a tester.

Let me know as well if a Beta tester is needed as well, really hoping to get this to work on OSX and not run windows on my machine.

Colby talked to me twice or so about the problem. I've never heard from him since. I think he was trying to light a fire under the devs for the chips in the cable.

Has anyone successfully logged using the V2 AP cable and OS X? I'm fairly sure it can be done in a VM (which I will try as soon as the AP gets here), but how about natively?

Never tried it. A friend of mine has an APv2. Will it log an ECU it's not married to? If so, I might be able to arrange a test.

You are exactly right, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere with them. I'm waiting on a new version of the IDA disassembler so I can look into their driver code and see if I can fix it myself...

This is the stuff I like to see

IDA disassembler is way down the nerdiness rabbit hole...even for me.

GL and I'll beta test drivers and such if you'd like.

Heck, there's a lot of mac users interested in this. He won't be short of testers.

Well, let's see...

There's no OpenPort 2.0 cables yet.
There's no defs for the 08's yet.
There's no logging support for the OpenPort 2.0 cables yet.

Become patient.
